If they think the 'camouflages' is working, and don't think you see them, then yea, they'll stay put as long as they feel safe. I've been surprised how close I've gotten to them. Or, how fast they took off to hide. or simply went much higher than me. With my lenses, I really don't need to be close. If I can see it, I'll usually get a decent snap. Snapped a Purple Heron the other day, too far to actually see, but saw it land on top of tree. So that was easy. If didn't see it flying and landing, would have never new it was there. Etiquette at CW immigration
My experience last month was a little different. I joined the queue for the document check. I always have the appointment booking on the top of my bunch of papers so it's obvious. Previously I've been taken to the front of the document check queue when the booking has been spotted. Last month I was taken from the document check queue by a young man to a desk next to the officer who was going to be handling my application where he (the young man) personally checked my paperwork. (It was all in order.) I then was asked to sit down in front of the officer. No queue number involved. Plus it was 20 minutes or so before my appointment time. All finished in 15 minutes. -

Again, another guy with nothing to do in Thailand goes to the tax office begging to file. I am not leaving Thailand because of Thais. I'm leaving Thailand because of idiot foreigners. Please do file while choking on 180 AQI -

If LTR visa holders have local Thai income exceeding the tax reporting threshold then they are required to file a tax return reporting the local invome. I believe only LTR-WP, LTR-WGC, and LTR- WFTP are exempt tax on filing a tax return if no local income and only remitted foreign income. I have seen BoI statements confirming this, and also a user called the Thai RD tax help line and confirmed this as well. Only those initially uncertain and/or scaremongers and/or tax consulting firms (trying to drum up business) have been saying other wise.
