The laws and regulations here are all perfectly decent and match many of those in our home countries... ... the simple difference is the absense of consistent and firm enforcement, which effectively enables complete disregard amongst the general public for any respect of the laws. -

I feel its unsafe for any American to travel there. May as well go to Russia and become a potential political pawn. There's a channel Sabbatical where the guy goes all over the world seemingly randomly and he was detained in Russian long the border for at least a month it seems.
