Hello moving to Thailand soon and need some help. Does anyone know if and where you can get the following medications the first two are for High blood pressure and Throid (Avapro 300MG or Irbesartan 300MG) also (Adalat XL 30MG or Nifedipine CR 30MG) and (Synthroid 0.025MG or Levothyroxine sodium 0.025MG). Any help would be nice, as well as prices of the medication.

All are available over the counter at any pharmacy. Avapro is expensive as it is a patented import. Maybe 1,000 baht or so for a box of 28. Levothyroxine in local generic form is dirt cheap. Nifedipine I believe is available in several generic forms, so ask for it by the generic and see (or maybe some other posters can name a local brand).

Be advised that many pharmacies in Thailand do not have actual pharmacists behind the counter, and the average non-pharmacist will not recognize generic names. Choose a good, large, air conditioned pharmacy with a "real" pharmacist on duty, in addition to recognizing generic names they are also more reliable in terms of quality.

If at any point you visit Cambodia, stock up on Avapro at the Pharmacie de la Gare in Phnom Penh. Imported drugs are less expensive in Cambodia as no import duty is levied. However stick tio the aforementioned pharmacy or else buy directly from the local distributor (which would be even cheaper still) as many counterfeit drugs sold in Cambodia.
