I use MSN messenger. I know there is a Yahoo messenger etc but what I want to know is this-

Is there a stable/safe bit of software that will run all contacts from all messenger programs so I don't have to have several messengers running at the same time?

I know this is probably a silly question but messenger programs aren't something I know much about.

Give Miranda or Gaim a go - either should be able to do what your looking for - personally I prefer Gaim, but may aswell have a look at both.

Check out Trillian - www.trillian.cc - does ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, AIM and IRC all in one. Freeware. Not fantastic but definitely usable.

I personally use trillian but only because gaim has yet to supply file transfer support, when I does I will switch to gaim.

also if your mobile runs symbian OS , try agile messenger - not sure if they have a client that runs on uiq, but on my symbian phone agile works fine, you just can t type as fast on the mobile
