I test drove both and bought the CRV. My reasons were:

CRV 100,000 baht cheaper (2.4i)

Captiva interior plasticky

I have had the CRV for 7 months now and 15K. It is still like new. The acceleration is excellent and the interior switches solid and german like. The ride is smooth and very very quiet. Overall it drives like an Audi. I am very pleased with it.

I will say though that the Captiva exterior is slightly nicer but since I mainly see the interior this is not a problem.
