Where To Get Protein Supplement In Samui?

Hello,

I am staying in Samui for the summer,

and wonder if there is a health food store

that sells protein powder-

rice protein preferably,

or whey or another vegetarian source supplement?

Believe there's a place on the ring road, equidistant between Tesco's and the cheweng police station but on the other side. Think there is also a place just opened further down towards Lamai next to the PTT station

The Samui Health Center (at the shops near the gas station on the south end of Chaweng on the main road) has several different brands of whey protein and supplements.

It's actually the place goldfish recommended, but it's since moved from its former location (way more accessible now).

I tried this comapny out and bought some 20kg bags a while back and very pleased with them.

They have smaller tubs on the website which are sold in shops like GNC and in some gyms but if you e-mail them directly they will deliver to anywhere in Thailand at wholesale.

For comparison, 3lbs. of GNC brand whey protein (43 servings @ 20g of protein per serving) runs 2700 baht at the Samui Health Center (you still may be able to apply for a 10% discount card as well- I'm not sure if that promotion is still running).

right now just looking for 1lb container, whey is ok, can have the rest shipped from the US probably, since it looks like there is no place that sells Rice protein here.

i dont need 20 kilo ... 2 or 3 would be enough ...

You can get 100% Concentrate (unflavoured) in the green top 700g Pro Flex containers from most pharmacies, 990 baht. if you want 100% isolate it's harder to find, and more expensive - however I got it in the past from The Samui Health Center mentioned above.

If anyone wants some isolate I think Island Fitness sells 1.9kg tubs from Musashi.
