Truely sad, as he has always been one of my heros!! he did a stand up comedy tour just last year and many years before....all new fresh material and delivered it as fast as a 30 yr old.

I remember buying one of his books from an airport news stand while I had a couple hour layover. I was sitting at a gate laughing so hard that I had tears running down my cheeks. There obviously won't be any new material but a lot of his material was timeless--it will play well on HBO for years to come!
