The Queens Garden Resort is only a 10 minute drive from the airport.

It's not a great hotel but if you only want to shower and relax for a few hours it should meet your needs.

They have a permanent contact at the airport who can arrange free transfer to and from the hotel. They charge about 1000 baht per night, but for a short stay of a few hours you might get a discount.

Click the above link. They answer emails quickly.

Why worry about a Hotel, you have to get your bags and thro Imigration its now almost 8am hotel for say 8.30 got to get back buy a ticket and book in for your flight to Undon.

So you have to be back for 1pm leave hotel at 12.30 Thats 4 hrs. Just go get a coffee and wait.

After all you may fall asleep in the hotel and miss you intended Flight.

Then the lady will be realy upset.

and to be sure you will have had another in Bkk Or is that your intention ?

if so go for it but watch out the knives might come out.

You better make sure your connection to Ubon is from Suvarnabhumi - as far as I know Thai only flies to Ubon from Don Muang.

Yep.

Thai Air . Don Mueng - Ubon. Dept. 1325.

He will need those few hours to get up to Don Mueng.

Just looked at Air Asia. They go to Ubon from Suvamibhumi at 1405. He is probably going with them.
