Interesting fact in today's Post. Regarding fradulent credit card charges made on lost or stolen credit cards issues by THAI banks, the card holder is responsible for purchases/charges made on the card during the period between when the card was stolen and when the theft is reported to the bank. This differs from my experience with USA bank issued cards where the card holder is not responsible for these charges if the bank is notified amount of time from when the time from when the card was noticed stolen (or even if not noticed stolen).

However, if fradulent charges are made on a card # that has been obtained in some other manner and unauthorized charges are noticed on the monthly statement, cardholders are not responsible for these.
