I have tried out the Thailand-UK forum, not meaning to be in any way traiterous you understand, just to test the waters so to speak as I'm in the Uk at the moment.

God, what a bunch of bastards! In two threads I got attacked and threatened twice - my wife was even attacked and she doesn't even post! I got flamed left, right and centre - me!, I'm not exactly Erco now am I?

Interesting site that. Iwent to have a glance and followed the Restaurant link, giving a listing of UK Thai restaurants.

I was amused to note my old restaurant is still listed, despite it being converted into an Italian cafe since I sold it over seven years ago.

Seems they don't quite have their act together.

Maybe life's a bit harder back in the UK with a lovely young Thai girl as your partner. Here it's a bit more accepted - or at least you can usually find places to go where people don't openly stop and stare at you. The only people that stare at me and my g/f are old farang men on holiday with their old farang wives. given that I have moved to soapdoger land, I have tried my best to help out there...but to be honest it is really a pretty boring forum. And yes, they have changed over to a new system, and have stuffed it up.

The disallow people registering for the new site using common web-based emails, such as yahoo and hotmail, so I fail to see how many people are going to access their site if they want to maintain a shred of privacy.
