Just got my wp & 1 yr visa renewed and realised I've only 5 pages left in my passport

Anybody know if the British Embassy can add-in more pages to my passport? I think other countries can do it but not sure about UK

My passport is still valid for 3 more years and I'd rather not get a new one and have to get another visa (also have other current visa's as well)

Not possible for a Brit to add pages. You'll have to apply for a new passport. Your Thai visa will be transferred to the new passport without government charges.

Yesterday I applied for a new PP as I only had the one blank page left. This time I'm getting the one with 48 pages.

Sadly they don't add pages to PPs.

For what it's worth. The new passports that are now issued don't allow you to include the names of your children. Children need to have their own passports.

Thanks for the advice - guess I'll have to get a new one.

I also have a second British passport which also is now full, but I guess it would be really difficult to get both renewed at the same time

There were too many parents doing a runner with the kids

With an acceptable reason for two passports you should be right.

Believe a new EU-passport takes 6-8 weeks. (at least the German ones as for security only 1 priting station allowed)

When I see that the remaining pages will last me only 3 more months or so, I do apply for a new one and ask the PIC at the consular section to keep it there until I pick it up. Usually 4-6 weeks after it arrived. Means when the old one is fully used it just takes a few minutes to get the new one, letter to immigration. Off I go to Imm office and have the stamps transferred. All can be done than within 1-2 hours.

Just received my new passport by post. Applied for it on Wednesday afternoon and was told I'd get it in 5 working days but got it this morning (Sat). :o
