Us I-130 Visa With A I-129f

Featured Replies

Can anyone advise?

I have just completed my I-864 docs for my wifes I-130 and sent them to the NVC.

I filed the I-130 last January and a subsequent I-129f (spouse)with a receipt date of April 1.

My I-130 got approved before my I-129f. The NVC states that the I-129f will automatically cancel since the I-130 got approved. Yet I just received the approval on the I-129f.

So, if I just sent the affidavit of support (I-864) in for the I-130 how close am I to an interview? Whats next?

Should I continue the I-129f until they say stop?

And, will my interview date for the I-130 be as pushed back as the "Fiance'" interview dates?

Thank you. :o

with I-130, your wife would still have to wait minimum 3 months up to 6 months for the paper tog et throughNVC and dont forget approx 3 months wait for the interview time in bangkok. I would recommend the I-129f since it was approved. it would take around one or two weeks for nvc to send it out to the embassy and then three months for the interview date. the I-129f will help you to get ur wife there a lot quicklier than I-130.

and your I-129f is still valid unless the embassy in bangkok got the i-130sent from the nvc already. hope it helps.
