Decent Acomodation Near Tha Sawang?

Featured Replies

I'll be visiting the wife's family near Tha Sawang and their Thai style home and hospitality would have been one of those 'rich cultural experiences' a few years ago, but now that I'm 60, I don't/can't sleep on the floor and poop thai style, so I'm wondering if any of you Surin falangs know of any Falang friendly hotels or resorts out there in the sticks of Tha Sawang??

We'll be there a week and I don't really want to commute to the city of Surin, where most of the acomodation is.

Well, as Tambon Ta Sawang is only 5-15 Km's from town, you should not have that much difficulty. That is if it's the Ta Sawang that has the Silk village. It is quite a big area though, so if you are this side it is only 5 km's. If you are located on the far side, Surin Country Lodge, just outside Chom Pra, might be a tad closer, but if I were you, I think I'd stay in town.

but if I were you, I think I'd stay in town

and visit the best watering hole in surin

And since you've passed 60...............you'll fit right in :o

Thanks guys, It turns out that we were just offered more deluxe accomodation by a relative that lives near by, altho I would rather do it on my own and never really liked being a 'guest'. At least we won't be sleeping on the floor of moma and Popa's house with the Thai tv blasting. I will try to check out the new entertainment venues in Surin when i can get away from the wife....any suggestions for discrete fun??
