Second Tourist Visa For Girlfriend

Featured Replies

Hi all,

This is my first posting on Thai visa and I am just looking for a little bit of advice.

My girlfriend has spent the past 3 months visiting me in Ireland, she is a Laos citizen and

it was her first time overseas.

We have been together 2 years already and got engaged on this trip.

I am in fulltime employment in Ireland and would like her to move over here with me but we

are unsure of the process to begin this.

Would it be too soon to apply for another tourist visa for December 08 as she only left Ireland this weekend

or should we try for a different visa,I have heard of a D visa but am unsure what this visa is for her previous visit visa was C class.

Any advice would be greatly welcomed

Thanks Matt

If it's anything like the UK visas you'll have to wait out the 6months for her current visa to run out before you can apply for another one.

In the UK there is a Finacee visa that you can get which will allow her to come over to get married within the 6 months, and then apply for a settlement. OR get married out there and apply for a settlement, which will allow her to live and work in your country (for a 2year probation period to begin with, after that apply for citizenship)
