While Hat Yai is not exactly the center for aesthetic procedures in Thailand, the two largest facilities are the Bangkok Hat Yai,

and the Sikarin Hospital. These would offer you the most 'piece of mind'. However, since laser hair removal is pretty straight forward,

I would suggest finding an smaller clinic (as opposed to a full fledged hospital) to have the work done.

Google should be able to help you out with finding a clinic.

I would recommend you to forget about it.

I've had it done a couple of years ago and it's definitely not worth it - the worse money I've ever spent - and I'm talking big money, too. After many, many sessions, (more than they will tell you that you need) the hair still didn't go away completely and now it's growing back slowly but surely.

However, if you insist, bear in mind that it involves many sessions - about one month apart, so you can't just "get it over with" if you're there for a short time.

Done properly, laser hair removal does work -- as long as the hair being lasered is darker in color than the surrounding skin -- and is permanent. However because hair grows in cycles a minimum of 5 treatments two months (not one month!) apart is needed and sometimes more.

It won't work on hair that is very light in color at all, the hair has to be darker than the skin and the darker the hair, the better it works.

I had my legs done more than 10 years ago and happy with it. (It did hurt, though).

I went through a six month regimen of laser treatments (at Apex in Bangkok) on various body parts, and now a few years later, there is still significant hair growth again, though not as much as before. When I bought the treatment packages, I purchased five (I think it was) treatments with a "guarantee" to continue treatments until the hair was gone for no extra charge. Although I saw no physical fine print, apparently the "implied" fine print was extra treatments up to a maximum of six months. I went at their recommended period, which I now forget -- every three or four weeks, maybe?

To say "it did hurt, though," would be an understatement as they reached the end of the treatment period and the machine was at its highest setting. At that setting, any coarse hair hurt like a @#%^)%. My body hair is a very dark brown, almost black.

I chose daisy Diva at Siam Square for my hair removal treatment. The place was very nice and process was quick. After a few treatments, my legs looked pretty good. Has anyone else tried Daisy Diva?
