Hi everyone,

Wife putting in settlement visa application in on Tuesday. She's just arrived back in Bkk after spending 5 months living with me and our 3 year old daughter in geordieland on a Tourist visa.If visa is refused will she be able to apply for another Tourist visa immediately or does she have to wait a period of time before applying for another visa, she just phoned me to say someone told her you have to wait 3 months before applying again.

Also if she is refused SV, they do let you know why they didn't grant it,don't they?

When do new rules come in about reducing TV's from 6 months to 3 months?

Thanks Steve

If a settlement visa is refused, your wife has the right of appeal, although this can take 7-8 months to be heard. There would be no reason why she wouldn't be able to make a visit visa application immediately following the refusal of a settlement application, but having pinned her settlement colours to the mast, it'd be likely that the visa officer would not accept that she was genuinely visiting the UK.

Scouse.
