Bengt
What is the criteria for receiving a medical extension on a tourist visa? How long can an extension be given for? As far as I know if you get sick and need medical treatment you need a doctors certificate and he have to declare to the immigration the reason for you to be treated here before you can be transferred to your home country and then you can be granted an extension not more than 90 days by medical causes at a time. Macx
Doc in BK wrote a note on his prescription pad. I carried it with reams of medical bills/surgery to Phuket Immigration. Got a 3 month extension with good wishes from the officer pronto. Others' experience might differ though.
