has anyone heard anything about a bus crash recently. I heard it was the regular 99 bus from Bangkok to Samui. Overturned somewhere near Surat.

brainless, irresponsible maniacs - the drivers...like several years ago, the one leaving Surat, running a red light on full speed into a pick up with approx. 10-15 passengers on the back...? the driver escaped..into the paddy fields.. people and limbs strewn all over the intersection - gruesome!

friend of my girlfriend was on the bus. She is black and blue but other than that ok.She said there was someone not so fortunate.

just confirmed with my Thai secretary that the accident was in the Thai news and newspapers. Apparently 1 fatality and several injured including a few foreigners. But I guess not big enough news for Bangkok Post etc.
