Phuket Dive Operators

Featured Replies

Can anybody recommend a decent dive operator down in Phuket for our next trip down there?

Just had a bad experience with one of the operators on the west coast (part filled tanks, boat filled above capacity, lost kit etc) last week and wondered if anyone could make any recommendations.

Don't mind paying a bit more than the average for a comfortable and enjoyable day's diving.

My most enjoyable dives in Phuket were with Calypso Divers, this was a copuple years ago now (2005/6) so staff may have changed, but the MV Greta was about the closest thing to a smoke-free vessel I have found in LOS. It's an old, smallish boat, but clean and well run and they do (did) excellent pancakes on the way back.

Have referred a few people to Phuket Scuba Club in Kata with very good results.

There's a number of ways in which that could be interpreted... :o:D

Try Sea Fun Divers, at Le Meridien Karon I was on the boat with them to Racha Yai last month and it was great. Staff were nice, food was ok : )

I can highly recommend Phuket Scuba Club in Kata, very professional and a nice bunch of folks also.

H2O Sportz in Bangtao are very good and cater for HISO holiday makers very well. Bit stormy this time of year, unless you go to the east of Phuket. The east side of Pee Pee Islands are really good, but you'd have to be staying on Pee Pee for that.

offspray have a nice speedboat that takes small numbers to phi phi for two dives plus time on a beach etc and a lovely lunch
