When I was in a 'Christian Brother' school, (some people will know what I'm talking about!) They called us 'Master' so I was Master Ayres, my best mate, Master O'Connell etc. However, Another friend of mine, Gregory Bates, was called 'Master Gregory'! :o We thought it was favouritism - we were quite young...

:o

And I thought the Brothers had a sense of humour :D

Good luck

Moss

Wasnt he in Captain Pugwash or was that another urban legend (along with Seaman Stains)?

Dave

I have certainly heard of both both characters - anyone know if they are an urban myth?

They are NOT a myth. Google or Utube the late great Captain Pugwash and enjoy the fun.

It's always nice when people with awful names marry.... At least it must be love, right? :o

A few Thai names always give me a titter, eg: "Turdsak"; "Tittiporn" (my secretary); "Assawit"., etc.

He doesn't surf these shores very often, and he posts less frequently than that.... but, when he does, it's a good 'un.

//edit/what happened to the picture/ so disappointing when that happens/

Sorry guys ..... it's a myth.

Dam-n your evil eyes !! It's a duel you'll be after and by G-od I'm up for it !!

Pick a weapon.................Next you'll be claiming squirrels can't ride motorbikes, is there no end to such heresy !!

( There was a character called <deleted> though !! )

Not you as well Moss ?

They are as real as Tigg's spank paddles.

Next you'll question the Tooth Fairy and don't even go near Santa. Bedlam is about dreams, not bursting bubbles, leave Seaman Staines alone !!!

What about the bargirl with the heart of gold? The one who really is different?

There was a character mentioned on Radio 4 earlier who was called 'Fanny Burning'. Now that's funny no matter where you're from! :o

Pattaya TV news last weekend covered a 'news story' of two Thai gentlemen that were caught selling pirated gay DVD films in Jomtiem, one of whom was named most carefully by the persenter as a Khon Turdsuck.

"porn" in Thai means "blessed" so it is commonly used especially with girls' names - I had a Tittiporn working for me, she certainly was blessed :o I was never game to ask Fannyporn but never figured out with Patcheriporn what the blazes a patcheri was.

She lived in Liverpool after marrying a scouser. She used another name like 'jane' or something easy. I met her on a course where I saw her real name on the register as I was the tutor. We had a good laugh about it, she was a great girl with a wicked SOH.

And then there was Roger the cabin boy.
