I am looking to do some spear fishing and I am having trouble finding a place in Phuket that sells spearguns.

The scuba shops to not sell them. I have check with a couple of Fishing Bait & Tackle shops but have had no luck. I am living in Kata and i would appreciate any information as to where to look in my area.

On the diving forum you will find a few threads about spearfishing, with some people who seem to know what they are talking about. Maybe somebody there can help you.

In central theres a gun and knives shop.. He sells basic ones..

Its either top floor or the next one down.. In the middle of the south west side walkway. Set back from the main atrium..

SEAduction dive center in Pattaya are a distributor for spearguns in Thailand, they used to do Cressi but I think they are now stocking & selling Picasso gear. Drop them a line

Try in the fishing gear shop next to GC HUAT before the cirkel in Phuket town where the small local busses are waiting

Seaduction is not and never was a Cressi distributor, it is not and was not Thailand's exclusive dealer for Beuchat either, despite his claims.

I can't confrim regarding Piccasso but will know shortly.
