Currently stuck working in sunny India. I get a fair chunk of my salary in Rupees so, since I need a new laptop, thought I'd get one here and avoid losing out on the crumby Rupee exchange rate to Baht.

The local brand HCL look to offer fair bang for the buck and seem reasonably well built, anyone had ownership experience of one of these beasts?

Not going to happen most likely, but I'm in and out of sunny India for the forseeable future so should see the warranty out. :D

I seem to be aquiring a new project every week, latest is a re-bid on Chennai metro and the Kolkata upgrade.
