Koh Samet Hotel/guesthouse With Internet?

Featured Replies

Hi all...

I was hoping someone might know if a place on koh samet has internet access available to guests, preferably in the rooms such as wireless as I would need to use for several hours a day.

Is such a thing possible on Samet?

Thanks in advance for your replies..

I know some do. Our little place in Malibu Resort southeas side of Ko Samet had two PCs in the office for public use. I was there during the tusnami actually. I am sure further up the coast some of the bigger resorts have some internet. No first hand knowledge though.

Thanks. I see from website coco (loco coco? something like that) advertises room wireless. How is the mobile reception in general on samet? no problem?

At Had Saikaew (sp?) the mobile reception was quite reliable.

Alleged internet access by resorts is pretty patchy in my experience but you may be lucky.

The clutch of shops etc by the entrance to the national park at Had Saikaew has an excellent Internet bar which has never let me down and offered very reasonable rates if you needed a fallback plan.

Baan Puu Pan has it, I think.... the only problem is they are in the middle of nowhere...

thanks for both suggestions.. that place looks great and good to know there is a reliable net cafe too.

I would say go to Jep Bungalows. Very central location. Don't know about wi-fi but they do have internet shop.

Very easy to scout accomodation from there.

If you take a left after coming off the boat instead of going to the National park there is a guesthouse/bar called Indian Summer. They have wireless internet there. Owned by an irish lady -
