Hi,

I am new here and I work as a buyer for several food companies in the middle east, I mainly work with Chinese and European factories.

Although I've never been to Thailand I know there must be export leads related to food especially with the latest happenings in China and people are more anxious to buy food imported from China.

Can anyone tell me how are the prices in Thailand compared to China? is there a possibility to buy food items cheaper than in China?

I'm not looking for specific numbers - just a general direction.

Is it possible to deal with factories in Bangkok or is it necessary to travel elsewhere?

The main areas I concentrate on are frozen sea food, canned food and rice.

Any advice is appreciated.

Mike.
