Driving Kk --->koh Chang

Featured Replies

The gf and i are planning on driving down from KK to K Chang for a while over xmas.

Has anyone done this trip recently? Im just wondering abt the state of the roads and a rough idea of how long it might take. I reckon from my road map, that its abt 730km.

It looks like the best route is down to Khorat, then take highway 304, then along the 317 to Chantaburi?

Any experiences of this trip guys?

Good road to SaKeo,then up and downhill,two lanes,heavy trucks,up to Chantaburi,then easier.

10 Hr up,methink,depends on the stops,and the speed traps. :o

Driving in the night faster,but more dangerous,bikes with no light,broken down trucks with no warning signals;if you arrive late afternoon no ferrys to KohChang,have to stop in Trat.

Have a good trip. :D
