Yamaha Mio Z

Featured Replies

Hi all, hope someone can either help or point me in the right direction, I have a Yamaha Mio Z 2003 model imported from Thailand in 2004 which I am trying to register in the UK , the only documentation that is holding me up is a proof of date of manufacture, in the UK this is done from the frame number but Yamaha Europe cannot help. Can a local Yamaha shop help with this or has anyone got a contact at Yamaha Thailand ? Any help would be much appreciated, the bike was originally bought from Sang Chai Motor at 30 Rajadamoen Rd , that is all I can make out from the original Visa document. Thanks for looking !

Oh hello,.Peter my partner imported a Neuvo into England, he registered it with the original registration which he had translated into english,.It was a few years ago ,but i remember combined with the customs papers it was a doddle, good luck,Gordon,. :o

I forgot, ask your local DVLA if they will accept a dating letter as proof of date of manufacture,. if so google Roy Bacon, he will take care of it,. :o

if only it was that easy, Roy bacon is having problems with the DVLA and cannot help and the bike was imported new , never registered in Thailand , so no registration papers, the lady who imported never got round to registering it in the uk although she did pay the duty on it.....and its changed hands a few times with all previous owners not bothering to try to register it !!! I'm beginning to see why :o....oh and thanks for replying !!
