After 4 years in BKK I am moving to Japan early next year, so I would like to get a head start on my Japanese..

Can anyone recommend a good Japanese teacher in Bangkok? I am looking to learn from a native Japanese speaker (not a Thai teacher).

Thanks for any help...

Just a question.

Can you speak Thai?

I think there are some places in the Suriwong area that teach Japanese.

Good luck in Japan, I love the place and the people.

I know a LOT of Japanese people in the Thong Lo area with a lot of time on their hands.

I reckon there would be several willing to do a language exchange, English>Japanese.

PM me if you are interested and I will put the word out.

If you at first don't find what you are looking for, there's a school in Ari that teaches both Thai and Japanese, Silp Aksorn. It's right by the BTS.

The Piammitr Language school off Sukhumvit has a Japanese course by Japanese people. Look up my name to see a previous topic with the same question.

In the meantime here are some websites so you can master the language before you meet the teacher:

Don't forget, there are also teachers who will teach over the phone or better yet, on skype. This "live" learning will greatly enhance your "text book learning."
