October 30, 200817 yr Just past the entrance to Wat Plai lam, Bangrak is a soccer pitch which gets a lot of use on a sunday. Last week there was a big competition on all weekend. Best bet would be to pop down on sunday and check it out.

We have an opportunity of 1 hour's training from Peter Reid, coach of the Thailand Football team and need 2 keen teams. If anyone can give me contact names or telephone numbers then our Thai staff can take it from there

October 31, 200817 yr There is an "Fullmoon Beach Soccer Cup" event every month now (since Feb. 2007) at the Hadrin Beach (East) and they seem to be successfull and having a lot of fun. The organizer are Germans (Heinz and Martin) and I know they have sometimes teams from Samui coming over to participate. It was once a 3-day event and it has grown out to be a successful 4-day event, month by month with around 10'000 visitors in the high season, according the organizers! PM me, if someone needs more detail e.g. phone and mail. I had just recently an intereview with them for my webpage.
