Just before daybreak on Thursday, Police Major Wittaya from Pattaya Police Station was called to the Cheurn Ruk Inn Motel on Pattaya Third Road following reports of an attempted rape of a woman by a high ranking police officer.

Police arrived at the scene and spoke with the 25 year old alleged victim. She explained that earlier in the night, she had met a man in a nearby Pub, who is known to be a Police Lieutenant Colonel working in a nearby Province.

He suggested the pair go for more drinks at another location. The woman agreed, however she was in fact taken to the Motel and she alleges she was dragged into one of the rooms.

She assumed that the Police Officer was about to rape her so she ran into the toilet inside the room and called her boyfriend who contacted Pattaya Police for assistance.

They arrived and the woman decided not to take the case any further.

The Police Officer was allowed to leave and no further action was taken

Thats a shame and a stupid police officer.....why to rape when you can get sex almost for free in Pattaya??

I think you'll find some/most/many rapists aren't in it so much for the sex as the domineering factor, the feeling of power. The fact that the offender holds such a position of power anyway is even more disturbing. I'd hate to meet him in his official capacity
