Built In Furniture Bangkok

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend someone for built in furniture. Been round the usual Mall furniture stores but they seem very low quality for not particularly low price. I'm guessing a private company would be better value for money? Any contacts appreciated.

Try Moderform: The did the physical work on my wardrobes and curtains (though they were in my case project managed/suggested by Asian Motifs whist I was in the UK)

I used Asian Motiffs (in the Dusit Thani building) for our condo at Athenee Residence. The work was perfect and delivered/installed on time. They have a web site.

yes, I would go to www.bangkokhomecare.com and send them an e-mail. They renovate condo's and houses in Bangkok. But one of their specialities is to design and custom make built-in furniture. They have an excellent reputation in Bangkok and most of the long term expats use them. Friends of mine recently asked them to renovate their condo. They did all the floors, bathrooms, walls, ceilings etc. Also did built in furntiure and it was a really first class job. My friends were very pleased. I hope it helps. Try them and see. The guys name is David.

Hi,

Who has tried to buy built-in furniture from SB Furniture or Index? Any experience?

I found that small companies doing very professional job are as expensive as big mall shops (maybe working so often for expats they calculate using US$ ?), and i feel safer with SB Furniture or other large furniture shop, so I wonder if I should rather use them for the same price or even cheaper?

But in case anybody knows a very professional reasonable priced company that can do design built-in furniture, I am also interested.

Thanks.

You should check out the furniture street at Pracha Chuen, they can do EVERYTHING and a very good price.

Let me know if you want more details.

To copy a Google map link you need to click on the word "LINK" on the right above the map.

Do you have more information about how to find this street ?

Thanks.

Any updates on this. I will be shopping for built in bedroom furniture quite soon. I have been warned against going with SB, Index, etc because they are over priced. Personally I have no idea but this is what I have been told. As to the smaller shops, most of the places mentioned in TV topics seem to cater to foreigners, i.e. can communicate in English and as a result charge expat prices. What I am interested in is the smaller Thai companies who make to order and fit in built in furniture and are catering predominantly Thais, i.e. do not need to speak English.

Any suggestions would be received with thanks and a smile. :)

This link has a list of built-in furniture in Thailand (mostly bangkok). My link http://www.akanek.com/categories/26 (guarantee legit.)

i know the navigation is in Thai, but many of the shops have some english description. Some built-in company price, go as low as 8000/sq. meter.

Was told that smaller shops have better value for money than the big brands like SB or index.

If you want higher end, check out My link http://www.akanek.com/shops/DKBB-DISCOVER-YOUR-PERFECT-LIFE
