Unfinished Cable Work On South Pattaya Road Angers Local Residents And Business Owners.

Featured Replies

Pattaya One News has received a number of complaints regarding unfinished cabling work on the South Pattaya Road outside the Chaimongkol Temple.

Emails and Telephone calls from disgruntled ex-pats and Thai Residents highlighted the problem which we investigated on Saturday Morning.

Recently the electric cables were replaced along the entire stretch of the South Pattaya Road which caused major inconvenience to local businesses and residents who were without power for long periods of time.

This was essential maintenance according to the electric company and was completed just two weeks ago.

The large cement pylons also accommodate cable TV and telephone cables which in some areas were ignored by the electric company.

At this location cables are obstructing the pavement causing inconvenience to pedestrians.

Although there is no immediate danger as the cables are harmless, we understand they have remained in this state for many weeks and it appears that cable and TV companies are either unaware of the problem or do not intend to rectify the problem.

We have today sent a copy of these pictures to the Mayors Office at Pattaya City Hall for his consideration.
