Ot: Ebay Issues - Seller Won't Honor His Obligations

Featured Replies

Hi All,

this is the first time that a seller is blatantly refusing to honor his obligations. Another bidder won some other items and those won't be delivered either.

My Paypal payment was returned. But is it my problem if a sellers risks his mint medium format lenses at 1 pound, with no limit?

Q: what would you do? The gear is worth hundreds of pounds more.

What about opening a case? Filing a Police report?

Cheers!

Give him bad feedback. He sounds like a tool for not setting a reserve amount.

bad feedback and a report to admin. thats all you can do.

I had a similar problem with a seller. I was the winning bidder but he cancelled my bid and sold it to the next highest bidder.is reason for dong so was I was in Thailand and he would not post to there. As it happened the Mrs brother was coming over in a few months so the plan was to get it delivered to hiim and he would bring it over. When you bid you are told you entering a legally binding contract so you would presume it worked both ways. It doesn't. The seller is not obliged to honour his side but you are obliged to pay if you win. Complaining to Eay will get you nowhere as they back the seller. I stopped using it as paypal is an out and out rip off and a law unto themselves. Think yourself lucky you got your money back. Just leave negative feedback.
