How To Fly Out Of Thailand

Featured Replies

Is Phuket the only international airport functioning in this whole country? If it is why are people not flying in out of it……are airlines not allowed to reroute there to pick up passengers?

One more question…….Thailand’s two main international airports have been closed for going on 3 days.......has this happened before to any other country ( not counting times of war )???

I was told yesterday that all outbound flights from Phuket (to destinations outside Thailand at least) are full. A business colleague made the long trip down to Penang in order to catch a Singapore-bound flight to continue his onward journey.

Chiang Mai - Some regional flight avavilable (HKG, KUL, SIN, etc) and operational as usual. No risk of being captured. However, booking is already full for the next few days.

Phuket - Some regional flight avavilable (HKG, KUL, SIN, etc) and operational as usual. However it is in a PAD area and has been closed before by PAD. No reason why PAD wouldn't do it again, apart of short of protesters as most are already summon to Bangkok. Booking is also mostlt full for the next few days.

Krabi - AirAsia have flights to KUL and operational as usual. Like Phuket, risk of being shut by PAD. Some seats out are still available.

Had Yai - Apart from those going to Mecca, not sure if there are any internation flight. Now operational as usual, but risk of being shut by PAD as well.

Samui - Over price flight to Singapore (BangkokAir) & Kuala Lumpur (FireFlyZ). I have no info.

Go to www.AirAsia.com and you can see price and availability to fly in/out of Chiang Mai, Phuket, Krabi to KUL & SIN.

Note: Sorry I have to add this which may cause the moderators to kick me out of this forum.

I hope Malaysia and Singapore use this oppertunity to divert tourist to their country. Opportunity out of a crisis (just like Thailand selling fruit juice to the US army during the Iraqi war). With the strong rule (especially the PAP government in Singapore), all the protesters will be sent to jail indefinately without trial under the countries ISA (internal security acts).

No need to listen to rumours, and try not spread anything you heard from someone. See it for yourself. Go to www.AirAsia.com www.JetStar.com http://www.tigerairways.com/ www.Thaiair.com www.bangkokair.com www.fireflyz.com.my www.silkair.com www.dragonair.com select date and destinations. If the price show up, seat is available and you can buy it. If it is full, the webpage will say so.

A few seat are still available, but at a very high price.
