In March I have a wedding to go to in Sakhon Nakhon, whats the best route, for convienince & speed. Is there a plane direct (I think not!) or would Udon & then bus/train be better.?

Also approx how long to do, few hours by plane & bus or 20 by train??

Thai Airways has a flight every day to Nakorn Phanom with a stop at Sakhon.

Flight time? About 90 mins I think.

The train doesn't run to that corner of the northeast. Closest rail line would be the one that serevs Udon Thani.

I just checked on THAI's website. PB Air operates that route now as a codeshare for THAI. It's a 70 minute scheduled non-stop flight and there are either one or two flights daily, depending on day of the week.
