The harddrive on one of my computers has started making a weird clicking noise all the time. And it does not load most of the time. I tried hooking up to this PC and sometimes shows up, but then disappears with some kind of write error popup.

The harddisk is only like 6 months ago so still under warranty.

But i'm wondering if anyone knows are they are shops at pantip which could clone the semi-broken HD onto the new one? Or are they any tools that i could download which would help me to do it myself?

For to cloning the HDD needs to run continous which means that you need to sit down and have an eye on the process and maybe need to restart the procees from beginning several times until once is completed.

I use HDClone for cloning and you can doenload a freeware version from TV Download or the original Website: http://www.miray.de/products/sat.hdclone.html

Cheers.

I am sure you have backed up the data by now, if you can hook up to PC.

Rather than clone, I always take the opportunity to do a re-install, with the latest drivers and loading only the software I use. Makes for a lovely fast machine with no bloatware on it.

It takes me les time and effort than cloning, which never worked properly for me!

you may want to try Spinrite first. Repair the drive, copy all the data off that drive. Move it to the new drive then use the latter as a spare. Spinrite can be found HERE.
