Wireless Options At All Seasons Nai Harn Hotel

Hi,

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Was planning to travel to phuket from jan 6-10 and stay at All Seasons Nai Harn Hotel. Unfortunately, I'll still need to turn in work for part of the trip. Does anyone know about getting wireless at the hotel and the cost of it for all of those days. Also, is it possible to rent a wireless card for those days as well. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated. I checked with Baan Krating Phuket Resort in the area and they were charging 100 bht for a half hour which is rather expensive and looking for a better option. Thanks!

From their website:

Business Centre

Should the need for work arise, the Business Centre is equipped with standard facilities to immediately put guests up to speed with the outside world. Located in the lobby area, access to hi-speed Internet and business facilities is only steps away.

Facilities

- Wireless Hi-speed Internet

- Copy/Print Service

- Fax Machine

not hard to find

We stayed there for a few days last year and they had wireless cards for sale, can't remember the cost but it wasn't excessive. However, if you have transport, there are so many eateries and watering holes with free wireless internet access in the area - Don's Cafe, Friendship Beach, Nikita's, and many others.

Gee. Thanks for some of those swarmy responses :o Really?

I've already contacted them via email and latestays and trying to find out the costs but to no avail. The All Seasons hotel looks great and I like the location, yet the wireless internet would be a breaking point for our hotel pick. It's kinda of a bummer that some nearby place could charge 100 bht for half an hour!

My girlfriend needs to turn in her articles after we come home at night and early in the morning. Just trying to figure out her options and if I could work out a deal with the hotel. The internet cost is hardly stated, but stickman's guide was helpful but not sure how updated it is. Anyway, will keep looking. Thanks!

If you've not already booked a hotel and the internet is really important, take a look at Friendship Beach's website (you can google it). They have free wireless internet, works in all the rooms and outside by the pool(!) and in the dining areas. I take it your GF will be travelling with her laptop? It's in Rawai and faces South-East so you'll get the NE breezes in January. I would say only downside is it's not really a "lay on the beach" kind of hotel if that interests you. But fabulous fabulous views over Chalong Bay. Next door to Kimi Raikonnen's place :D If beach is more important than internet then stick with All seasons. Hope this helps.

Isn't the telephone a fabulous invention !!!

Thank you Graham Bell !!!

Just dropped them a line, 100thb gets you 70 minutes of wireless usage in the lobby and by the pool.

So there you go ! Another swarmy but informative post by yours truly, HB

Yes, The telephone and internet are great inventions! And so are seasoned waffle fries and nettique!

Thank you for all your responses and inquiries.

This friendship beach sounds intriguing, and I'll have to check it out because we'd like to be active and healthy during our trip.

Never knew there was something like this hotel in Phuket. We were also planning to rent bicycles and do water activities as well.

Last year, I was in Patong which wasn't too scenic and wanted to explore other beaches with my gf.

We might go with All Seasons, unless there's something that shows up on latestays with complimentary wifi and a good deal.

Thanks again, all!

Yes rawai/nai Harn area is good if you are looking for beach activities. Like mentioned before , many water holes with wireless connections, Tamarind Bar on Viset Rd also has internet connection. But nikitas is the best i have come across, nice view and a great connection.

Cool. Nikita's sounds great after reading this description at jamie-monk.blogspot.com/2008/07/nikitas-bar-rawai-beach.html

Thanks! :o
