Hi, I live on Ratchada soi 3, right near Phra Ram 9 MRT/Fortune City IT Mall.

Can anyone here recommend a good laundry service in this area?, right now i am being charged 750 baht for 50 pieces.

Thanks

That's about the going rate around there. Only alternative is to wash it in the machines and let it dry on your balcony.

You can ask them if they have cheaper prices if they don't iron everything since that does take a good deal of time. I don't need my socks, boxers, and t-shirts i wear around the house ironed, especially since I do it myself now.

The Mask,

Did you move into Sitara Place?

How are you finding it?

Yes I did move into Sitara Place.

Generally it is ok but there are several things which i find annoying.

1) - The internet is so slow

2) - On the website it says 3 minutes walk to Phra Ram 9 station, it is at least 10 minutes.

3) - Lots of ants in the room if u leave anything out for a few minutes

4) - The tuk tuk shuttle express service to the MRT never seems to operate, the tuk tuk sits there but the driver is nowhere to be found.

5) - Only 12 TV channels, half of them being non english.

Do you have any gripes about the place?

I have visited the Sitara Place recently, and the owner was telling me that their internet has eight 4-Mbps lines and a load-balancing server. I was quite impressed hearing that. Well, apartment internet/wifi is quite often slow and unreliable, same at my present place, I'm now considering doing it via GPRS/EDGE.

As I walked there from the MRT, I was also quite impressed about people who can do it in 3 minutes. Took me around 15 minutes or so :o

I didn't move there as you have to bring your own blankets/sheets/pillows and the servicing was charged extra too. There is also no pool which I regard as necessary in a hot place like Bangkok.
