Chiang Mai Motor Show

Featured Replies

The 18th CM Motor Show has hit town. The razzmatazz of the opening proceedings suckered me in on my top priority mission to Big C this evening but I'm sorry to say it's a pretty lame affair with only a stand from the Indian manufacturer Tata standing out as something new in the car department. It's encouraging to see JRD offering a wide range of electric bikes and scooters (including a retro Fino like thing dressed in pink) but I just wish they could bring them to market at prices similar to the retail prices in China where they start at about US$ 200. Their Lion brand of bike is made in Thailand so there's no import tax issues either. For the rest it's pretty much the same models and promotions you see in every mall every week.

They had a paraglider display and some cute girls to liven up the event but eventually I got a call to say that the kitten had its paws crossed so I tore myself away from the free beer and headed for the pet department...

A few more (cute girls) here!

With all those cute girls there I wouldn't be very concerned if there were no cars at all on display :o

Hmmm... The girls were pretty cute.

Doh! Seems I acquired the wrong flavour of kitty litter. Just have to pop out to Big C dear..... :D
