Gta 4 Actually Banned?

I remember (maybe 6 months ago) when a taxi driver got stabbed by some teenage, that GTA 4 was going to be banned in Thailand.

Well GTA 4 has just been released for PC, and i'm wondering if that "ban" was just newspaper hype, or am I actually unable to purchase a legitimate version of GTA 4 in Thailand?

(Note: the pirated game is 13GB so i'm guessing that fake copies would cost a similar price to the real version)

AFAIK it's banned in Thailand and any selling is illegal.
