The same happened to me.

from 0800 hr till around m16.00 (Thai time)

Was it just me or was TV down all day today?, it seems I am the only one to ask this question  :D

There was something odd earlier today - I use "Firefox" and each "tab" has the name "Thailand Forum" followed by the name of the topic. But earlier today, each tab had (OFFLINE) in capitals in front of the "Thailand Forum" name. Everything still worked though :D . Never saw it before.

But I've been out for a few hours and it's OK now :o

When i tried to access the site there was an announcement saying......"site upgrade in progress" or words to that effect anyway.

I got the same message.

I was more than surprised to finally get back into Thaivisa at about 5 pm and everyone is here posting as usual. :o

I am sure we will hear from George about this. I spoke with him earlier and he was a little busy so give him a chance and he will lets us know what happened.

Same here. use Firefox and got error messages uptill 17:00 Bkk time.

Now working normal.

I was getting messages about SQL errors before the upgrade started.

I couldnt get in for about 15 minutes.Around the back off 4, but after that no probs. Any ideas why?

I was a little freaked at first when I saw the word 'implode' and 'type set error.' Something about the word impode makes me flinch.

I was getting messages about SQL errors before the upgrade started.

Indeed i got them also. then the forum was down for upgrade , now it works again :o

At the rate its going, this thread might be on topic daily. :o

Up and down like a proverbial tart's drawers :D . George'll sort it out :o He has the technology to rebuild ....

We have solved the issue. There was an issue with PHP4.3.10 and Zend Optimiser.

The bug is here:

http://bugs.php.net/bug.php?id=31181

We have now upgraded to the latest Zend Optimiser, and that should resolve this issue, but this is not guaranteed.

This affected the board in the following ways:

- Several hours of downtime

- All over the board we saw array errors

- Problems to login for some members

This is not an Invision Board issue, and could only be resolved by our host

updating to the latest version of Zend.

Sorry for the inconvenience. Hope it will be stable now.

Well done George - have a well earned rest :o

Another hiccup this evening? Guess we shall have to struggle through this! :o

Cheers George I know you are working hard to get all of the gremlins out.

Thanks George...even though I was at work, I was at a loss with what to do while the forum was down :o

seriously...it is not an easy job, we al know this and are very grateful for all the time you put in.

Thanks, and happy xmas.

Looking at the Zend stuff myself, and knowing that you understand it, I can see why you drink. :o

This is the first time I have managed to log on for more than five minutes during the last two days

Did anyone miss all my dynamic posts.....................Ehhh... thought not.

That's the stuff I was getting yesterday right after the news broke about the tidal wave. Don't know if the server is "overloaded" or what but I've had no problems today.

It was an extreme load on our server, as the news broke.
