New Year Checkpoint Catches Well Known Local Drug Dealer In Possession Of 404 Yabba Tablets.

The New Year Checkpoints continue here in Pattaya and in the early hours of Wednesday Morning, a checkpoint set-up on Pattaya Third Road in Central Pattaya led to the seizure of a substantial quantity of class 1 drugs.

Officers stopped a green Toyota Mighty X pick-up driven by Khun Narongrit aged 36. The driver appeared nervous and was identified by other officers as a well-known local drug supplier.

The vehicle was searched and a bag containing 400 Yabba Tablets was found. The man was also found to be carrying a further 4 tablets in his trouser pocket. Khun Narongrit better known as “Jo Huoy Yai” was arrested and charged with possession of a class 1 drug with intent to sell and was transferred to Pattaya Police Station for processing.
