On Wednesday Morning Nongprue Municipal Officers received a report from residents living near the Maprachan Reservoir that an ox was stuck inside a drainage pipe.

The Officers arrived and one brave man decided he would conduct the rescue of the distressed animal alone.

He simply pulled on a piece of rope tied around the ox’s neck and was able to free the animal who quickly recovered and appeared not to be injured.

Khun Sanor aged 47 told us that he owned the field and spotted a group of 30 oxen entering his property.

He was not happy and clapped his hands and shouted loudly in order to scare the animals. They all ran away apart from one who was spotted inside the drain.
