Party For Chris Husted

Featured Replies

There will be a big birthday/farewell party for former Phuket Gazette managing editor Chris Husted on December 27 at The Boatyard (formerly Tango Bar) in Phuket City, starting at around 8pm.

All of Chris' friends on the island are welcome to attend. As many of Chris' friends know, he is off to start a new job in Brunei early next year.

To get there from Central Festival, just head into town along Wichit Songkraan Rd then bear left at the fork near the no-name gas station, then take the next hard right immediately after. It is on your right, set back off the main road. Look for boats.

:o

Woo Woo Woo Chris baby!!! Won't be there in body but in spirit mate :o Have a good one all and Chris, see you on FB X

he is off to start a new job in Brunei early next year...................

Free beer?!
If only it could be...Anyway, the beer there is reasonably priced and hopefully Peter will have enough of it on hand. Also, I hope he fixes the lighting on the dartboard so we can throw some arrows too...

I don't know the guy but hope he gets plenty of beer quota in that night 'cause I think Brunei is a "dry" state isn't it? It certainly used to be when my OH used to visit there a few years ago.

He doesn't drink, so Brunei will suit him just fine..... :D

Really? I never noticed exactly what was in his glass at The Islander... or Laguna... or... :o

Here's to my first posting on Thai Visa... It's great being a civvie now :o

The map attached might make The Boat Yard in Phuket Town easier to find.

To all the good people I've come to know over the years, thank you very much. Phuket has been an odd blessing.

Although I really didn't want a party, I have become grateful to Steve for organizing it. Otherwise there is no way I could catch up with you all.

Although "all winds blow back to Phuket", I have been here long enough to know that sometimes that just isn't true. Only time will tell. I'll be back to visit, but that's no guarantee I'll see all the people I'd like to catch up with.

If I don't see you before I go, take care and I hope our paths cross again.

Chris

Does this mean we get more gore on the front page? Gore is good, especially if it's quiet, except for the gigantic cruise ship parked outside patong beach. Slow day here.
