Can Vista Ultimate Output To Multiple Audio Devices?

OK, here's the setup:-

  • LCD telly on the HDMI output of my NVIDEA card.
  • Sound system on the SPDIF output of my Realtek High Definition Audio device.

(Neither is a high-end device, both work just fine).

What I really want to do is send the audio to both at the same time so I don't have to muck around in Control Panel when swapping between "ordinary telly" mode where I use the TV speakers and "blast the neighbours" mode where I use the sound system (with the TV volume turned down).

Win XP could certainly send to both digital and analogue outputs together but I can't get Vista to do even that let alone two digital outputs :o

Looks like I need a bolt-on, anyone seen anything remotely like what I need?

I'm currently sending the analogue "audio out" from the TV to the sound system which works reasonably well, but it seems a waste of a perfectly good digital output :D
