Nice Hotel In Bkk

Featured Replies

I'm organizing my holiday for the next march and on my way to Bali I'll stop in Bkk for 2/3 nights.

After one year working In Koh Phangan I would like to stop in a nice hotel in central Bkk, maybe around Pratunam, and indulge in some (little) luxuries, like jacuzzi, small suite or big room, etc etc.

Does anybody can suggest me a nice (new) hotel on the 4000/5000 b. range??

Maybe not your type of area but President Solitaire, Suk soi 11, big rooms and Platinum suite has a jacuzzi and is below your price range.

You'll have to prioritise and if you want a jacuzzi then you'll wipe out the vast majority of hotels in Bangkok.

Probably outside the price range are the Shangri-La http://www.shangri-la.com/en/property/bang...gspecialtysuite

and the Peninsular http://www.peninsula.com/bangkok/en/accomm...on/default.aspx

However, looking at this, http://www.jasminecity.com/apartment_accomodation.htm the Jasmine might have a suite with a jacuzzi ???

Hmmm really depends on your needs, I think that we all may distinguish a 3/4 start hotel a little differently.

I would say Le Concorde, however is not close to Skytrain. Hmm 3nights may set you back anywhere from 6,000-9,000BHT. I am sure the price has come down a bit.

No Jacuzzi, but I stayed at the Siam@Siam the last couple of times and quite liked it. Very funky design and located close to the National Stadium Skytrain station. The hotel is trying to be very hip which might not be to everyones liking, but the service is fantastic and the location is very good.

SIAM@SIAM DESIGN HOTEL & SPA

865 Rama I Road, Opposite National Stadium,

Wang Mai, Patumwan,

Bangkok 10330

Tel: 66 (0) 2217-3000

For B4000-5000

Pullman King Power on Sri Ayuthaya road. Walking distance to skytrain and victory monument.

Pathumwan Princess @ MBK

Centara Grand @ Central World.

Personal fav - Amari Watergate.

All in The Pratunam area.

But if you want a nice pool, Sheraton Grand Sukhumvit @ Asoke

Rembrandt Towers Sukhumvit 20 - 3500 baht or so

Windsor Sites - Sukhumvit 20 - same range

S1 Hotel - Sukhumvit 15

Plenty of good options in the 4-5,000 baht range

i have heard good things about the Dream Hotel

This is my first choice when I'm in Bangkok. Great, big, clean rooms with large screen (42" if I'm not mistaken) and jacuzzi. Hotel offers free tuk tuk to the skytrain and the Andaman (sp?) Spa located inside the hotel offers one of the best massages around (right down to the room and music they use for the massage). The President Solitaire is probably one of the better bargains you'll find in the 4000 baht range.

If you want AMAZING views - Baiyoke SKy Hotel, and stay in the sky zone. At the moment, very cheap rates on

www.thailanddiscounthotel.com/seek.php

www.r24.org/thailanddiscounthotel.c...gkok/baiyokesky

Its close to Siam Paragon and the skytrain.

If you want river views: then the Ubrik or Arun (tiny boutique hotels - quite charming)

or the Menam Riverside which has very special prices also on www.thailanddiscounthotel.com

Its close to skytrain.

Prince Palace is good, but maybe a little out of the way.

And if you just walk down Rambuttri by Khaosan Road, some great places to be had!
