Fitnessclubs With Day-passes, Daily Memberships?

Featured Replies

hi all ...

i am looking for fitness clubs that have day passes ... i would visit the club only 5 times during my next bangkok trip.

that means a monthly membership wouldn't make sense.

does anybody know whether there are some fitness clubs offering such day passes?

i need some workout machines, no cardio equipment ...

fitness club, hotel fitness room, spa, sauna ... i could accept everything ...

aaah ... i should mention that i am looking in sathon/silom/sukhumvit area ...

or better to say ... in BTS/MRT area, but not too far from city center ...

any recommendations?

Single days passes often tend to be quite expensive. Fitness Now is located just under the BTS Phya Thai. Daily pass is 500 baht.

One of the cheaper places is located by the BTS Rajthewee, across the street from Asia hotel; Rocky gym. 100 baht/day or 700 baht/month. Clean, good equipment, no-fancy-place.

Then you have Body-tourque in soi Thaniya close to BTS Sala daeng. The nicest place of the 3 I´ve mentioned, have pool and jacuzzi, sauna, they provide clothes and towels, serve nice cheap food as well. Don´t know what it cost maybe 500/day. Last time I was there I got a 7 days free pass so I could decide if I wanted to join.

I agree, you can get free passes to almost anywhere - Cali/WOW has 14 day passes to let you try it out - Fitness First lets you go for a week - they have a pool as well.

Another option, on Suk. Soi 71, Nasa vegas Hotel lets you use their gym - pretty nice with sauna and jacuzzi and free weights and such - 10 times free if you stay there.

Or, you can just go to Lumphini, use the free weights there and go for a run - all free. Good luck!

have you ever been to rocky gym?

is it big? is it crowded?

what kind of people go there?

I found that the gyms in Thailand usually are a lot about appearance and socializing, but Rocky gym is a place where the focus is on the workout without being hardcore. The gym is small not fancy but well equipped (they use old technogym if I´m not misstaken). Dumbells and other weight are measured in kilos. It´s the kind of gym were no one cares what you wear or how your hair look. Not crowded at all. They provide locker, towels, exercise vest, trunks. Open 11 am to 11 pm. Sundays closed. Number 022518301. Walk to BTS Rajthewee is about 2 minutes. 100 baht/day or 700 baht/month or 3 month for 1800 bath.

If you want a dirtcheap hardcore gym Ding daeng sports club is the place. It is a classic gym. They also have a big pool, 400 runningtrack ect. All for 40 baht/year (yes forty baht per year :o ). The catch is that it is not near BTS. Nearest BTS station is Victory monument.

Won't work. They mostly have caught on to this. They want local mobile number, local address, and proof you are actually living here. I've had friends try this recently and it did not work at either California "WOW or Fitness First.

Body Torque as mentioned is 500 per day and includes fitness clothing and shoes if needed and has decent food and good coffee.

I think I replied to a similar thread earlier today, but since I sent that reply, and as others here have suggested, you could just join a gym for a month. I use the gym at a local hotel (in Sukhumvit) and pay just under a thousand baht per month. Pretty cheap for you really, even if you go just five times. Many years ago as a tourist, I happily paid about five or six hundred baht each time at a five star hotel.

Thats the Thai-Japan Youth Centre is it not?

I think it is heavily subsidised by the Japanese thats why you can train there for so little they also have a bunch of other activities.

No wonder the Japanese are so popular!
