You have to respect them for trying. And before you can talk and say how funny it looks you should enter the league, fight and win and then say haha its funny.

there are those that try- who are men

and those who make fun of those who try

knowing full well that they would never have the balls to get in the ring/on the matt, normake fun of those who do to their faces

true martail artist will show respect for those that try

so, in other words - neither men, nor true martail artists

Reminds me of this quote:

Bullfight critics row on row,

Fill the enormous Plaza de toros.

But only one is there who knows,

And he is the one who fights the bull.

While it is possible to recognize skill (and lack of skill) as a mere spectator, there's no way to know what the fighters are going through until you have gone through it yourself.

I give respect to them for stepping in the ring and fighting, even if they are beginners at it. You can't really expect much more, given that MMA is not very big in Thailand. There are not many clubs with quality MMA training. Most of the talented athletes who want to go into fighting sports will probably go into Muay Thai since there is more money and prestige in it in Thailand. But if and when it does take off, I think Thai fighters will be good at it.

One example of a Thai fighter who crossed over into MMA is Rambaa Somdet. He isn't a great grappler, but his takedown defense is pretty good, he's very fast, and he is a good striker. I saw one of his fights, and his opponent had a hard time getting in close range with him.

MMA is being taught at boxer -rebellion.net on soi 13

soon a top class teacher will come

however I do not think it will ever be that popular here as they will have to completley rethink everything

MMA are the orginal arts

however, onc emust remmeber- they are not martail arts, but martail sports

saying that- avoid getting ionto the ring with them!
