Hi.

Yeah i heard THAT one before.... different speeds for different kinds of pickup. Isn't that a sad joke?? I've got a two-door space-cab one - is it 115 for those? With bed cover should be 117.5 then......

When i was stopped there in 2007 i still had my Volvo, ordinary four-door sedan, and yes, they DO have radar there - when i was stopped and my boyfriend talked to them there were messages coming through their radios from some other cop further up the road who operated the radar, he came through with car type, colour and speeds.

By the way i WAS doing 130 - not knowing that my speedo was off due to the larger tyres on the car (15" instead of 14", already got it that way)! I was happily doing 120 (according to meter) when in fact it was 130.... only found out after going to Chiang Mai first time in the new, all stock, truck - and the journey door-to-door was a full 70 km's "longer" than in the Volvo! Luckily back then the cop was happy with a couple of "Bacardy Breezer" that we had in the car... no ticket or fine, as i'm really not a speeder and also don't look like one (speeders drive Fortuners, not Volvos).

Kind regards....

Thanh
