Hi Boater,

thanks for your Reply.

I have googled Ibis Patong but the rates were 1350 baht per nite.

I will be going end of April. Am I supposed to book this hotel

by other hotel booking website or direct with the hotel?

Is the place walkable to the restaurants and shopping area?

We hope to be in the middle of everything.

She was a grand lady in her day, but still clean, comfortable, fairly modern and with lifts (but stairs at the entrance). Soi Nanai. Free courtesy shuttle to beach/shopping during the day. Very good rates. Standard room is size equivalent of superior rooms in other hotels. I haven't stayed there for quite a few years, but the staff were always very friendly. Stay in the main hotel building (for the convenience of your parents).
