Anybody have any advice on getting a Irish Tourist Visa for my Thai girlfriend.

I am Irish and living in Thailand on a tourist visa.

She is not working, I support her in Thailand. She can show over 200k in bank accounts. She has some land in Kohn Kaen.

I don't have a regular job to show. I have about Euro 4.5k in my bank at the moment, could russel up some more if need be.

I have spent about 65% of my time in Thailand over the last 6 years so can show that in my passports if it would help.

She would be staying with me in my house in Dublin.

On the adverse side she may try to smuggle large quantities of fresh nam phrik in her luggage :o ...

Any advice.

Cheers

Hi

First of all please make sure she has a return ticket.

Since you are in Thailand I presume you will accompany her to Dublin. Make sure at immigration in Dublin Airport you can provide evidence that she has funds (either yours or hers), and where you are staying. They may ask how you know her just say she is a friend.

I had two Thai friends come here in December they got the same permission to stay as their plane ticket, ie three months.
